Some lamp shades have a recessed harp on their lamps and whatever kind of decorative finial they may have on them doesn't show above the top edge of the lampshade, so you're generally stuck with just the lamp and the shade. Now you can add a 1" or 2" riser with 3/16" threaded hole and bolt to the top of the harp and have a lovely decorative finial that will show above the top of the lampshade. I'm selling the 1" riser in this auction (elephant NOT included) and will also be listing the 2" risers. You can even screw these risers together to make a 3 " riser or higher, if you need to. I had to use two 2" ones to be able to see the finial on my Dad's lamps. They are so versatile and will help you to make your lamps so much more outstanding. You can also use them to raise your shade to a higher place so you can see the lamp base better. They will generally fit most all lamps, from modern to vintage to antique and they fit every finial I have for auction on eBay. Just email me, if you need more or need to ask a question.
