CA 1850 INTRICATE CARVED SHELL CAMEO MOURNING BROOCH GLASS HAIR COMPARTMENT. Shipped with USPS First Class Package.Beautiful rare antique Edwardian 12-14kt gold, acid tested, ca 1850, intricately hand carved shell cameo, gold mourning brooch with a glass compartment for hair on the back. Brooch is in the shape of a bow and arrow. The back clasp was replaced somewhere in it's lifetime, but the sharp pin bar looks to be original. The glass is not chipped or cracked. The gold acid test passed for 10kt, but 14kt did eventually disappear, so I am guessing 12-13kt gold. The brooch needs to be cleaned. It measures approximately 1 1/2" in width and approximately 1 3/8" in length. Returns are accepted only if I have not accurately described the item. Pictures are a part of the description.
