" The underside is hand-marked " Dip. A Mano / Franco Mari / Deruta / Made in Italy. " Franco Mari is considered one of the masters of modern Deruta majolica, with intense colors and breath-taking designs.This round platter with raised rim measures 10.25 inches wide. It is in very good to excellent condition, with few signs of use or wear (one or two very faint utensil marks, no chips, cracks, or crazing).I always think what makes Raffaellesco designs work is the personality of the face.
