Kaywoodie catalog circa 1962 states: "FOR THE MAN WHO WANTS SOMETHING MUCH FINER THAN A PIPE THAT IS SOLD EVERYWHERE. THE CONNOISSEUR'S LIGHT VIRGIN FINISH REVEALS AN EXCEPTIONAL GRAIN, NOT FOUND IN ANY OTHER PIPE. 4 bulldog, 1 pear, 1 pot, 1 full bent billard, 3 billard. Rubber vulcanite mouthpiece. Beautiful rare birdseye grain on the sides of the pipes and shanks. Pipes have a dark patina. Most have 3 hole stingers. The full bent pipe's stinger is cut off.
