Selling these for my collector friend. These pins are new on t original cards wrapped in t original paper. They have been stored away for decades. All were made by The Bastian Brothers Co. Rochester NY. The pins look like brass. This auction is for: 100 Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers Pins Original packaging. New old stock. I did not unwrap all of them. Thier is six to a pack. Pins have the letters BLE in the center with the letter E being the biggest. And the word LOYALTY under that. The pins are the old screw back style. This is the history I was given on these pins. If any of you know what I'm about to say is not true or can add to it then I'll update and change the history. I know absolutly nothing about these except what I see and what was told. This is what I was told when I recieved these. These pins were issued in the thirties during the depression to members who donated money to the Brotherhood. From the looks of how many I have....not too many brothers donated. Or they were expecting a lot more. is a update to the history from a buyer: These were given to members when they joined the BLE many years back. Not too sure on the exact date of when these pins stopped but I'll guess some time back in the 50's. I have quite a few of these so if you want more send me a message and I will list.
