From the WWII items of Captain George Parmenter, USMC of Hyannis Port, MA. He was a pilot in VMR-1946. Parmenter died in a aircrash in 1979 of a plane he piloted that was the subject of many articles & investigations. The book� "Down Around Midnight"� written by best selling author Robert Sabbag who was a survivor of the crash covers the crash and has much biographical info on Parmenter. These items of Parmenter are from his wife's estate. See my other auctions this week that include his "diary" graffiti hat, his dress blues, and his theater made fighting knife, all named to him.� 100% original US WWII named "diary" hat from Parmenter, covered with dates and locations where he flew and served at in the PTO. Incredible hat! Very good used condition, see pics.�
