From a Tucson estate some years ago is this vintage I believe 1960's or so 10K yellow gold pendant with attractive heart shaped faceted red stone set. That crimson beauty is accented above by five (5) channel set diamonds, almost as the stem of a gorgeous piece of fruit. Construction features are fully indicative of a quality conscious making during that time. The Valentine's apropo (though this would please on any other day) charmer exhibits great visual charisma...just look at those pics. I'm no gemologist so I had the stone tested and it came up Ruby / Sapphire - i.e. Corundum. I would assume a high quality lab-created ruby example with a depth of color that is really, really nice; just put this on and it will do the trick in high style. There is a clear "10K" for fineness, and a "T&C" maker mark. Weight is good for the form at about 2.3 grams on my portable digital scale. Condition is quite fine with a clean look to the precious metal surfaces, and only typical and expected and in this case exceedingly minor signs of purposeful use; the pendant must have been a special occasion proposition or perhaps worn about for only a short period at the getting and then simply put away. The overtly sturdy intergral overlap "V" bale is good to go and large enough to accommodate a variety of chain types. A look at the pics should give a good read more
