You are bidding on a Pratt & Whitney Aircraft 10 year service award tie bar in its original case. The emblem on the front is 10k solid gold, set with 2 blue sapphires, and it reads "10 Years, Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Dependable Engines." The tie bar is in excellent condition. The emblem is signed "LGB" and "10k" for Lloyd Garfield Balfour and 10k gold, respectively, and the clip on the back is signed "Balfour," "1/20," and "12K G.F.," indicating that it (unlike the emblem) is 12K gold-filled. (The Balfour Co. made commemorative jewelry and was founded by Lloyd Garfield Balfour.) This tie bar would make an incredible addition to anyone's aircraft or Pratt & Whitney collection.
