The knife is outstanding in every way. Handles are laminated rosewood, and the metal stock is all stainless steel. When the knife is closed the blade folds into the handle, but extends an extra 2 inches beyond lying in a blade guard, with the folding hilt lying on the handle. When the knife is in the open position, the blade guard swings into the handle serving as a blade lock. Based on an old English design, every part of this knife is finely made and fit. If you want a quality knife to carry that is sure to turn heads when pulled out, this will do the trick. While made to withstand rough heavy use, once it is in your hand, it mosyt lokely will not see any.
