11pc VINTAGE CARVED ALABASTER STONE FRUIT BANANA FIG+ Description : Thanks for looking, Please Read Everything Before You Bid. At this time my auctions are U.S. only with certain exceptions. If you live outside the U.S. and want to bid, please read the shipping terms below.'s a group of 11 pieces of vintage carved alabaster stone fruit. All are older mid-century hand carved fruit, Italian in origin, that have been hand painted in beautiful rich colors. Included in this lot are 3 figs, 2 peaches, 1 apple, 1 red plum, 1 lemon, 1 pear(oddly has stems at both ends), 1 tangerine, and 1 banana. Banana measures about 5& 1/2" long, pear is 3" long so you can get an idea of the scale. A few of the fruit have a brownish glue? resin inside the stem hole instead of a wood stem. T are scuffs/scrapes and a few have indents, one peach has indents and is shown in the 5th pic. Some dark areas look painted on as if the fruit is bruised which really makes it look more real than a perfect fruit. Some of the scuffs/scrapes show white alabaster beneath, but no other chips, no cracks or repairs. The all original colors are very rich and not at all faded, just gorgeous! Shipping estimate within the U.S. is $14.00 FedEx which includes the cost of packing materials and tracking. Insurance is extra and required with Paypal and Bidpay. Payment must be received within 7 days of the end of the auction.
