About amber: Baltic amber , in other Nordic gold - exceptional kind of amber found in the Baltic Sea region. Formed before approximately 50 million . m . ( Eocene epoch ) , when the Baltic Sea basin thrived massive mixed subtropical forests. Resinous conifer resin dropped on the ground and hard and eventually turn into amber. The greater part of the river were accumulated by the Baltic Sea. I n ancient times, the word amber meant by the Baltic amber. Although at that time in Europe there were other sources of amber , Baltic amber was considered the most valuable and best quality . Amber was eventually made up the street, to the ancient merchants reached the Eastern Baltic coast. Baltic amber is allowed to learn about the many long -extinct species of insects , who remained trapped in amber. With insects trapped in amber are called inclusions examples .
