A beautiful, fancy, huge Cabinet Plate, Tray or Charger marked with the beehive mark and "Austria" as shown. It is 12" in diameter - it is not a dinner plate! Much larger than a plate and also slightly couped or bowl shaped although not a bowl either. The former estate had it hanging on the wall - please see the photos - it has pre-drilled holes enabling display by hanging it with wire on the back not visible to the front. This pre-drilling is original factory made from the late 1800s or early 1900s when this wonderful porcelain item was made. In other words, the item is not damaged by a person drilling the holes later - the holes are original. The charger has a beautiful scene in the center, signed Kaufmann, and it is surrounded by a striking almost architectural design which is heavily embossed with gold. The rim is wonderfully scalloped. The charger is in very good condition without chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs. No damage. The heavy gold embossing is in very good condition - there is barely any wear to the gold, the raised places are for the most part intact although you can find some signs of wear commensurate with age. Please, see the close-up photos provided. I will be very careful when preparing the charger for shipping in order to make sure it arrives at your door step intact.
