You are bidding on a Vintage 12" inch, 8 ohm Utah Speaker. Probable time span, from the late 1930's through 1940's. It has a Huge & Heavy Permanent Magnet Structure, most likely an AlNiCo Magnet as Ceramic Magnets were not used in speakers this early. The total weight of the Utah speaker is 12 pounds, I would guess the magnet structure is about 8 pounds in itself. This speaker was originally in a commerical floor standing speaker cabinet. I was told from the previous owner, it was used as a Jukebox Extension Speaker. I personally tried this speaker with my Original 1015 Wurlitzer Jukebox dated 1947 with Push-pull 6L6 output. It sounds great. Good low end, and overall very good tone for a permanent magnet speaker of this vintage. It has the original cone, no holes or tears and the voice coil doesn't rub. The speaker is 7 inches deep. You don't find many quality, 12 inch permanent magnet speakers from this time period. Due to the weight, the speaker will be double boxed. Because of the age of this speaker, I will have to sell AS-IS. The shipping costs do not include customs duties if any, that will be the responsibility of the buyer. Check the photos carefully and ask your questions before auction ends. Thanks !
