From the estate of 3 generations of optometrists, I'm offering this lot of 12 vintage plastic eyeglass, or sunglass, frames. From the top left in my main photo, we have: 1) A tan frame that doesn't have a maker's name. Printed inside the stems is "CAPRICE 56-14" on one stem and "140MM TAUPE FADE" on the other. This pair does not have any lenses. 2) A Silver Dollar multi-color frame. Printed inside is "SILVER DOLLAR 130" and "PENNY COLOR #3 130". The nosepiece has "55-15" incised across the bridge. This pair has plastic demo lenses. 3) A Univis brown and clear frame. Printed inside is "140 Univis U.S.A." on one side and "CHT ILLUSIONS 866 140" on the other. The nosepiece has "54-15" incised on one side and "UF866" on the other. This pair has plastic demo lenses. 4) A Charmant gray and clear frame. Printed inside is "Charmant 4690 POLY FLEX 140MM" on one side and "COLOR-CG FRAME JAPAN 140MM" on the other side. The nosepiece has "57-12" on one side. This frame has plastic demo lenses. 5) (Center top) A Pathway mottled green, brown, & clear frame. Printed inside is "USA MISSY CRISSY Pathway 140 TEAL" on one side. This pair does not have any lenses. 6) A Regency Eyewear pale yellow and clear frame. Printed inside is "Regency Eyewear U.S.A. 140" on one side and "Amy Honey Rose" on the other. The nosepiece is incised "58-15" on one side. This frame is missing one of the plastic demo lenses. 7) An unusual Liberty frame in pale yellow. Printed inside is "LIBERTY 51-16" on one side. This frame has plastic demo lenses that flip down individually and the frame fits along the bottom of these, rather than the top. The metal inside the stems appears to be tarnished, but I included this frame because it is so unique. 8) A Charmant jeunesse light brown & clear frame. Printed on the inside of the stems is "Charmant 7507 POLY FRAME 140MM" on one side and "COLOR -LB FRAME JAPAN 140 MM" on the other. The nosepiece has "56-17" incised in one side. This frame has plastic demo lenses. 9) (Top Right) A Charmant pink frame. Printed on the inside is "Charmant 4681 POLY FLEX 135MM" on one side and "COLOR-RO FRAME JAPAN 135MM" on the other side. The nosepiece has "56-15" incised in one side. These have plastic demo lenses. 10) An Optyl brown frame. Printed on the inside is "optyl DL" on one side and "FRAME GERMANY 4012-60" on the other. The upper left side of the frame has "52-16" incised while the upper right side has "4012" incised. T is a paper label attached to the outside of one of the stems that has "LUZERNE OPTICAL CO." printed on it, and the numbers "4012 0060 52-16" are written in ink. These do not have any lenses. 11) A Silver Dollar orange and brown frame. Printed on the inside is "SILVER DOLLAR 135" on one side and "VICTORIA COLOR#3 135" on the other side. The nosepiece has "56-16" incised in one side. These have plastic demo lenses, though t is a crack near the bottom edge of one of the lenses. 12) A Pathway lavender frame. Printed inside is "U.S.A. OPTICOLORS Pathway 140 LAVENDER" on one side. The nosepiece has "54-21" incised in one side. These do not have any lenses. Overall condition is nice, but because these were display models, the lenses and/or frames may have scratches. Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail. No International shipping on this auction.
