Waterford Powerscourt Crystal Wine/Claret These Waterford Powerscourt crystal glasses belonged to my mother-in-law. They were seldom used; in fact, I'll go so far as say that at least some of these glasses have never been used. They're like-new in every way. T's not a single flaw of any kind on them: no chips, signs of wear, clouding, stains, yada, yada. The old girl liked having the good stuff; she just didn't want anyone to use it (just like her silver flatware, fancy china and the living room furniture that she had shipped all the way from Italy). My mother was the same way. This is a set of 12 wine/claret glasses. In other auctions, I have a set of 12 water goblets and a set of 12 champagne/dessert/sherbet glasses. (I've seen them described as all of those things so I aim to cover all the bases in my description.) You probably already know this: Waterford's Powerscourt pattern is available only by special order and it can take as much as 6 months to get your glasses. If you're lucky enough to find them at Bloomie's or online, you'll pay between $100 and $125 per glass. Shipping will be $25. Yes, I know that's a bit pricey. These glasses are substantial and weigh about as much as the Rock of Gibraltar. Also, I will insure and pack them as though I planned to transport them across the Alps on the back of elephants.
