This vintage 12" tall Japanese Geisha or Maiko doll has a gofun head,hands,and feet, and wears a beautiful lined, embroidered kimono, which I believe is silk, and a brocade obi with gold thread. She has inset glass or resin eyes and a delicate mouth. Her hair is adorned with flowers, bow, and silver paper. She stands on a 1/2" thick wood base. Her condition is excellent. Her clothes are clean and bright, and her gofun is perfect with no cracks. There is a bit of soil on her face, which I could not get to show in the photo, and one foot has come off its post so she moves a bit on her stand. I believe she was made during the 1950's.
