12 Vintage Rubber Molds - Comic Strip Characters & More 's an interesting lot of old rubber molds featuring 10 newspaper comic strip characters, and 2 RANO molds. I believe these are from the 1950's or earlier, and were possibly for children's toys or figurines. The comic strip characters include: Skeezix - this is a character in the comic strip "Gasoline Alley" Harold Teen - comic strip ran from 1919 - 1959 Orphan Annie and Sandy - first run in 1924 Winnie Winkle - ran from 1920 - 1996 Moon Mullins Tiny Tim - strip ran from 1932 - 1957 Andy Gump - ran from 1917 - 1959 Terry Smitty - ran from 1922 - 1973 Dick Tracy - first run in 1931 Each of the comic strip molds is about 4" tall. Also included in this auction are two vintage "RANO" molds. One has four different molds(measures 2-3/4" square) - a dog (looks like a dachsund), a cat, a featd hat, and an apple on a branch, and the other is a mold for a toy car that measures 2-3/4" x 1-1/4". These molds have a very strong chemical smell to them, but are still flexible. Some have a few tiny cracks on them. Don't miss out! Place your best bid now.
