Matchlessantiques is offering smiths and collectors this 120 lb. Arm & Hammer Blacksmith Anvil. This is a NICE Vintage anvil. It's the perfect size if you need an anvil that you move around regularly. The face on this anvil is hard and the rebound is excellent. The edges are rounded from use and have nicks and chips. The anvil's trademark reads; "WARRENTED" above "SOLID, (arm logo), WROUGHT" (all hard to read). The weight marks are very faint to see in the pictures but should be 120 on the side of the anvil. The serial number on the front foot reads 16009 which means this anvil was made between 1912-1913. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION. Please take a close look at the pictures.NOTE: This auction is for the Arm & Hammer Blacksmith Anvil ONLY. The cart it is displayed on and the tools displayed in the background are NOT INCLUDED in this auction.Columbus Anvil and Forging Company produced less than 52,000 Arm & Hammer anvils while in business. Compared to over 300,000 that Hay Budden produced, Arm & Hammers are much harder to find. According to Richard Postman, "the Arm and Hammer anvil was undoubtedly one of the finest wrought anvils ever manufactured anywhere." He goes on to say that the condition of the Arm & Hammer anvil's faceplates fared better than any other make he had recorded.Measurements are: length 24", face 3 3/4" x 15 1/8
