1/1250 Navis HMS Achilles British Armored Cruiser in early Dazzle 1916-17The HMS Achilles was one of four Warrior class Armored Cruisers completed in March 1907. They were HMS Warrior, HMS Natal, HMS Achilles and HMS Cochrane. Measuring 505 feet long and 73 feet wide and could reach 23 knots. Armed with 6x9.2" ,4x7.5 " guns and 3x18" torpedos. The Achilles did not take part in the Battle of Jutland,although she was part of the 2nd Cruiser Squadron. However in 1917 Achilles sank the German Raider SMS Leopard.I have painted her as per photo taken in 1916-17 in early Dazzle Camouflage. Colors are Medium Gray, Mid Blue Gray, and Black and Wood Decks with Cortecene (linoleum ) steel decks..Winner pays actual 1st class postage in the US.
