Humberstone, The Story of a Village, Nr Grimsby, Lincolnshire 1953 Hardback book with dustcover (a bit ragged) written inscription inside 1953. 196 pages in good condition for age. An ecellent history of the village of Humberstone and its people by Arthur Kirkby My Terms & Conditions (boring but necessary) Item Description, Bidding & Payment Please only place bids if you genuinely wish to buy this item. If you place a bid in error or change your mind before the auction ends the onus is on you to cancel your bid (Please refer to the Help Topics if you are unsure how to do it). Please don't ask me to withdraw my item from sale because you have made a mistake. If payment has not been received within 7 days of the end of the auction without a valid reason (deciding you no longer want the item after the auction has ended is not a valid reason) I will confirm with Ebay a Non-Payment. This will be a mark against your record (see Ebay's terms on this matter). I prefer payment by PayPal but I also accept Cheques and Postal Orders. I do not sell items that I would not be happy to buy myself. I describe my items as best as I possibly can. Any faults or flaws that I am aware of are always mentioned in the Item Description and reflected in the Starting Price. Please be aware that I am not an expert so faults that are obvious to you may not be so obvious to me. If I describe an item as being in Good/Used/Reasonable condition please do not expect it to be in Excellent/New/Immaculate condition. Any items that are in Excellent/New/Immaculate condition are described as so. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have about an item. Postage P&P charges not only take into account the actual cost to post the item but also packaging materials and transport to the Post Office. I try to keep these costs as low as possible. I am more than happy to combine postage for Multiple Purchases but please do not pay until I have worked out your charge and sent your invoice. Your item(s) will be posted once Cleared Payment has been received. Due to work, etc the days I can get to the Post Office vary. However I do go two or three times a week and on receipt of payment I will email you to let you know when your item will be posted. All items are posted Royal Mail Second Class Economy unless you request a different service . If you require another service such as First Class, Guaranteed Next Day (Special Delivery), Recorded Delivery or International Postage please ask and I will be more than happy to oblige. If your item is valuable or you require it urgently then I would recommend that it is sent either Special or Recorded Delivery. If you would rather it go normal Second Class that is entirely your choice but please note that once it has been posted the time it then takes to reach you is beyond my control. Please also take into account any adverse weather conditions or seasonal backlogs which may delay your delivery. I always obtain Proof of Postage. If your item gets lost/damaged in the post I will only refund if it has been sent on a Signed for Delivery as then I will be able to claim my money back from Royal Mail . It is virtually impossible to trace a lost item or get any kind of compensation from Royal Mail for damages if it has been sent normal Second Class Standard (believe me I have tried and failed on numerous occasions). If you have experienced a problem or you have not received your item within 15 working days of it being posted I will be more than happy to send you your Proof of Postage should you wish to take up the matter with Royal Mail yourself.
