Pub.by Selmar Hess 1885 popular edition. thirteen(of sixty) issues of ANIMATE CREATION, Popular Edition of OUR LIVING WORLD, A Natural History by the Rev.J.G.Wood, revised and adapted to American Zoology by Joseph B.Holder;fully illustrated with Scientific Accuracy including several beautiful color lithographs; part nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 14, 15, 17, 19, 22, 23, 24. some faults here and there such as a foxed, smudged, thumb print or soiled spot, some edge 'n age wear, hinge or two split partially;one of the color liths has some of the protective tissue stuck to it-possibly removable; pristine they are not, yet most all good solid copies w. clean interiors, sharp illustrations, interesting text.
