SIMMONS RIFINING CO. CHICAGO ILLINOIS SILVER INGOT / BAR RARE OPPORTUNITY "SIMMONS" 14.5 TROY OUNCES 999 FINE SERIAL NUMBER: 1204 Simmons Refining Company was located in Chicago, Illinois. In 1971 letters sent to the firm and a corresponding response would dictate that this ingot is pre 1970. Literature within midpacificgoldnsilver's library explains that the hallmark stamp was later changed from the stamping above to a much more industrial looking "S". This firm is also listed in the Silver Refiners of the World and Their Identifying Ingot Marks. This Simmons Refining Co. ingot exhibits a mirror like finish as polished post production. A 40+ year old ingot that stands out in any collection of 999 fine silver. While this sale is for a 14.5 oz 999 fine, "SIMMONS" ingot, other sizes are available.
