14 Wagner Ware Cast Iron Skillet HR p/n 1064 Very Nice A quick note before the description. I see and hear far to often about someone getting a piece of cast iron that is broken, pitted, cracked or just not as described. I have a true love for cast iron cookware and find the history and stories behind these pieces amazing. I enjoy hearing that new people everyday are discovering the art of collecting and use of quality cast iron cookware. Here are a few tips that may help when trying to buy cast iron off of Ebay. (1) If the pictures are dark and it's hard to make out detail, the seller may be trying to hide something. (2) If there are very few pictures or parts of the cast iron are not pictured, there may be a flaw or something that the seller is not wanting to show. (3) If the seller doesn't mention if or if it doesn't have a flaw, ask. If they don't respond, be cautious. (4) Pieces that are extremely dirty can hide damage, such as cracks or pitting. This is kinda a gamble, some pieces clean up great and are perfect under all that gunk and what you paid for it you probably got a great deal. Others you invest time and money cleaning the iron, only to find out that it is pitted like the moon or cracked. (5) Buying pieces from someone that doesn't normally deal in cast iron sales. Cast iron is suprisingly fragile and can break easily during shipping. Cast iron should be packaged like it is glass with alot of padding. Problem is that if you receive your cast iron and it is broken because of improper packaging, you may still be out money for the return shipping and the sellers shipping cost. Don't let the sellers try to tell you that it is up to you to get insurance, this is a lie. It is up to the sellers to make sure the item arrives in the described condition in the listing and if it's broken apply for a refund . This skillet has been cleaned and reasoned with methods that are preferred by cooks and collectors alike. The skillet is in great condition and sits rock solid and flat on a glass surface. The skillet is free of cracks, warping, chips or deep scratches. There is a small spot with very minor pinpoint pitting on the cooking surface, which is pictured.
