Up for auction is a lot of 1,400 35mm professional color and black and white slides. The slides are related to various art history and art appreciation texts such as Gardner's "Art Through the Ages" and Janson's "History of Art."These slides represent a range of characteristics. Some are vintage slides of tourist attractions in Rome, Italy. Some are black and white slides of famous works of art and architecture. Some are perfect color slides of famous works of art and architecture. Some color slides are faded to an overall pink color. Many slides are labeled, but not all are labeled. They are from a smoke free home.There may be some duplicates in this lot of 1,400 slides but only a small percentage would be duplicates.The slides are of famous paintings and buildings in the history of art and architecture. Some examples include: The Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio in Oak Park, Donatello's "Mary Magdalene, Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel ceiling, Titian's "Bacchus and Ariadne." Periods from ancient art through contemporary art are represented.I have room for more pictures in my listing.
