#14676 EXTREMELY RARE SET OF LARGE EMPIRE DINING CHAIRS Description We are pleased to be offering this beautiful and very hard-to-find set of matching seven empire style dining chairs to you today. Dating from the turn of the century to around 1915 or so, these all feature their original rush seats, and are all pretty much all solid mahogany with some flame mahogany veneer on the shapely center back splat. The rush seats on most of the chairs are in really nice condition with the exception of two of the chairs that have a few missing strands, but are still safe and usable. Considering the age and condition, comparatively, this is absolutely not a big deal, but we wanted to mention it. The chairs themselves have a dark reddish brown stain finish. The set consists of one master chair and six matching side chairs. They have a one-piece flared back leg, a saber style front leg, a rolled over curved front skirt on the chairs and a solid “ H” cross stretcher that finishes off one gorgeous set of chairs. All of the chairs are larger than normal, especially for this style, with the overall size of the armchair measuring 21.5 inches wide, 20 inches deep, 38 inches high to the chair back and 19 inches high to the seat. The size of the six side chairs are 19 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 37 inches high to the top of the detail flared flame read more
