is a necklace normally sold with a high reserve price, this is a rare auction because this is a very substantial 19 carat piece to be sold with a one dollar start and the highest bidder will be an owner. I have sold similar pieces like this to the many "A" list movie stars and you can see some of them in current tabloid magazines as well as televised award ceremonies. This is a victorian ruby, pearl and diamond collar necklace with an opulent display of gemstones. Normally you can only window shop for such a piece and admire from a distance due to sticker shock, I want to change that and make it fun, this is like the lottery but you have to be in it to win it. This particular piece is from the British India estate and contains 22 rubies and 723 diamonds that make this an outrageous piece. This is from an old collectors estate and has been in a vault for most of its life so it is in good condition for its age, I know for a fact that it was part of a families nest egg that immigrated from India to London. Back then during turbulent periods of unstable governments many converted the local currency into very liquid rubies and diamonds which could be cashed in just about anyw This piece was made for someone special however I dont think it is necessary to elaborate on that as the item speaks for itself as you can see. This beautiful piece has a stunning gathering of diamonds and rubies with pearls making this a great addition to your fine jewelry collection. The necklace has diamonds, rubies and pearls in the front and back for a prominent display. The front of the necklace features bezel set rubies into flower clusters having the 723 diamonds set in botanical patterns throughout. The necklace is thinner in the back with butterfly links also set with diamonds so it looks great even with a short hair style. T are a lot of diamonds in this and my gemologist checked each diamond size and weight so you can be sure t is no guessing the diamond sizes and weights. This is an investment that you can wear and enjoy every time you take it out for a spin. This is what real classy antique jewelry looks like, if your going to wear a lot of diamonds and rubies this is the way to do it. The necklace has a hook catch with slightly adjustable chain made of solid 14k yellow gold. The bright rubies are gem quality with transparency and an intense ruby red color so they really attract the eyes. The 723 diamonds (14.46 carats) make this one a fabulous piece with an outrageous amount of diamonds and rubies together. The diamonds are mostly white and clean with a grading of "I" color and "SI" clarity quality with a few light conac color diamonds mixed in. The necklace contains a remarkable 19.96 carats in total. T are 11 creamy white pearls (9mm) under each flower cluster for a soft contrast. It is made of 14k yellow gold accents with sterling silver in the top and 14k yellow gold trimmings such as the catch, link rings and frame underneath w it touches the skin. It measures slightly over 17.5 inches long and the width in the front is 46mm. The necklace has many links so it is not stiff and lays naturally on the neck and bust without binding.
