14K Beautiful Vintage Cameo This is truly a gorgeous vintage piece. Cameo brooch has loop on back to convert easily to a pendant. 14K gold with sparkling twisted detail frames a portrait of an androgynous beauty featuring the attributes of Apollo, carved with exquisite detail. The head is crowned by laurels and a lyre is seen on the bottom right of the frame, which Apollo received from Hermes and used to accompany poetry recitations. This 10 gram cameo measures just over 4cm long and 3.5 wide. Detail photo shows gold stamp on inside of back of frame - "S 14K B". Additional detail photo shows small bent portions of frame that are not visible from front of brooch. High quality authentic carving.
