HOWEVER, JEWELERS DID NOT USE THE TERM "LAVALIERE" UNTIL AFTER 1900. TURN OF THE CENTURY LAVALIERES HAD A HEAVY BAROQUE TYPE OF DROP-LIKE WHILE ART NOUVEAU LAVALIERES FEATURED DELICATE, OPEN WORK WITH FILIGREE DETAILS AND TINY SEED PEARLS, OPALS OR GARNETS. MOST POPULAR FROM 1910 TO 1920. This lavalier features one Blue Topaz Briolette. It measures 13.00mm in length. The center is accented by five genuine pearls.
