This is a very beautiful pink conch shell cameo depicting Madonna. The cameo presents a very skillful and intricate carving with fluent carving lines and details.The setting of the cameo is 14k solid yellow gold stamped with a gold mark. It has a ball pin and a secure catch. The cameo measures about 2" x 1 11/16" (50mm x 42mm). The cameo is attached to a necklace that is made of 50 hand-made pinch conch shell beads, each of which measures about 13mm in diameter. The total length of the necklace including the cameo is 71mm. Both the cameo and the beads are original to the piece. Circa 1950s. The condition of this piece is excellent, close to mint condition.
