I WILL BE ON VACATION NEXT WEEK SO IF YOU WIN THIS RING, IT WILL NOT SHIP UNTIL FRIDAY, APRIL 4. I have a few really old pieces of jewelry to list for you this week. This is just a pretty little ring that came in from an estate, with another garnet and opal ring I have listed separately. First off, the setting of this ring really is much more rosy than shows in the photos--it looks like yellow gold in the photos but it has a decidedly pink tinge in person. This ring is hand-crafted, with a high gold bezel housing the solitaire garnet. If you look closely, you can see the bit of millegrain work around the border of the bezel. The garnet is a beautiful translucent medium orangey red color, as a good garnet should be. It's approximately 1/3 carat. Not much more to say about this simple yet stately little antique ring. It weighs 1.3 grams, and tests positive with jeweler's acid for 14K gold. It's a size 6.
