A very nice string of 15 decorative shaped faience beads originating from Egypt to Western Asia, during the period around or just after Alexander the great and the beginning of the influence of the Sassanian (Persian), and Roman empires, dating from about 400 BC to 400 AD, more or less. The condition is mostly good, showing great age and wear overall, but very solid, about 5 to 11 mm in diameter. This is a very nicely matched group that is suitable for wear in a jewelery project if so desired.
