16 (41 cm.) Carved wooden socket head, carved hair in short boyish fashion having short pageboy style and curls swept across the forehead, painted facial features, brown eyes, white eyedots, closed mouth with pouty expression, shaded lips, all-wooden spring-jointed body with holes in feet for positioning, wearing white cotton sailor suit with blue chambray trim that is probably original Schoenhut suit, stockings, saddle shoes, carrying baseball glove. Marks: Schoenhut Dolls, pat. Jan 17, 1911 USA (seal). Excellent condition, some typical light lines, nose rub, original finish with lustrous patina. Schoenhut, circa 1912.
