Capehart Collection Advertising Artwork- Sixteen 12.875" x 8.25" Art PrintsThis is a great lot of art prints that was created by Capehart Phonohraph in the 1940's.The prints are in a pink cardboard portfolio that is marked "From the Capehart Collection - Portfolio "B". There is no record that I can find that lists out all of the prints that were a part of this portfolio. "B" was printed in 1942, and there was a Portfolio "C" that was printed in 1945. I know at least one other listing has one of these prints from Portfolio C.These prints measure 12.875" across and 8.25" tall. The majority are oriented as landscape, and there are 4 or 5 that are oriented as portrait. The actual images are smaller, with a white border around the edges.These prints were images that Capehart used in their advertising campaign at the time. I have seen some of the print ads that utilized them with additional verbiage. It looks like they took these great images and published then without the ads as a series of collectiions.Each print has wording below the print that calls out a significant piece of music, and then describes that image that was created to depict the song. There are 12 different artists that have created these images. Some of them are well known for other prints. There were 5 of the prints that were done by Bernard Lamotte.
