STEUBEN STORK BIRD FIGURINEAvailable for your consideration is this nearly 16" tall and 2 pound signed Steuben Stork figurine, also referred to as a crane figurine, designed by Paul Schulze 1986 and reintroduced in 2003 for the companies Centennial year. According to the '03 catalog, 'these stylized stork figurines are said to comfort and keep watch over the elderly.....seen as judges and lawmakers,...symbol of a baby's imminent arrival.' Actual height closer to 15 3/4" with about a 3 3/4" diameter solid polished base. There are a few light random scratches on the bottom, one near the signature. No other signs of damage or surface wear from use or storage.
