The Nuestra Senora De Atocha, loaded with treasures from the New World, struck a reef off the Florida Keys in 1622, it's remains were discovered & salvaged in 1985. Among the finds was a chest full of silver coins, this one comes from the interior of the clump of coins, deemed a "grade one (1)", due to it's good condition. It is a 4 Reale value coin minted in Potosi, Peru, under the reign of King Phillip III (1598-1621). Mint date somewhere between 1617 and 1621. Coin is a 4 Reale Grade I (1). Coin # H-1878 from coin chest #3. Weighs 12.0 grams This is a certified piece, not a reforging/replica- this is the real deal.
