Copper plate engraved print showing the plan of St. Sepulchre in Jerusalem from the monumental work by Allain Manesson Mallet, Description de L'Univers , published in Paris, 1683. Image measures 14x10cm. Page measures 20 x 13.8. The title banner at the top shows a view of the chapel. A plan of St. Sepulcre makes up the central section of the print. The plan includes numbers from 1 to 62 identifying locations in the building. The reverse has a legend defining about half of the locations: numbers 32-62 ( 62. Sepulchre de Notre Seineur Jesus-Christ). A landscape makes up the lower part of the image.
