Here is a B-17 fuel cap and its related pieces. It is from a veteran plane that was scrapped at the Kingman, Arizona scrapping yards directly after World-War Two. It was found many years later buried under the Kingman sands. It is in very good shape, and consists of the fuel cap, the filler neck that screwed directly into the vulcanized fuel cell, and the access cover, which is still chained to the fuel cap handle. No corrosion. Very straight. The words on the fuel cap say, " Boeing Fuel Capacity 225 Brit. imp. gallons 270 U.S. Gallons" A very nice piece for the warbird memorbilia collecter..Sold as display only. The buyer will determine its airworthyness. I do not charge a "handling charge" Buyer pays exact shipping only via USPS priority mail. I will ship to a U.S. address only. Because of Ebay's inaccurate shipping estimates, I ask that you don't send payment until you hear from me.. I want to make sure that you don't pay more on shipping than is actually required..
