I’ve been called worse: But a Punch & Judy Puppet Show without a bottler and a real professor using a swazzle , it isn’t an authentic Punch & Judy Show. Sorry. That’s just the way I roll. There are 17 pieces in this group, and only 3 of the pieces have damage. That’s amazing considering they were used by a child, and they are around 120 years old. The teapot has a chip; one of the saucers has a hairline; and the sugar bowl has “a thing.” Oh! And the waste bowl has some significant staining. WARNING: That “thing” that happened to the sugar bowl may frighten small children, so ask them to leave the room, please. I wouldn’t want you putting the law on me over this next picture. To a small, innocent child that may be as psychologically damaging as the first time they see Grandpa performing that old “pulling his thumb off” trick or “I got your nose.” As you can see, they are all old, authentic Allertons. You probably can’t see it, but the impressed crown is also on the marked pieces. The cups aren’t marked. I don’t think they ever were, but I could be off on that. More images and
