Large scale plastic B-17 Bomber model kit - Built. I built this kit about 15 years ago - I placed LED lamps in the tail beneath the guns and interior lights in the rear and behind the pilots area. I also put electric motors in each engine nacelle to make the props spin. When the two outside props spin t are wing lights that come on - when you engage the two inner engines, also, (so all 4 engines are running) the wing lights go out. T is also a terrific rumble caused by the engines in the nacelles that, sort of, mimic the actual engine sounds - the whole display is pretty neat. This will not fly - purely a static display model with some nifty electronics. Tonight was the first time I started the engines and lights in at least 10 years - the switches require a delecate touch but everything does work. Batteries are mounted in the bomb bay.
