This book is "The Works of the Most Reverend Dr. John Tillotson", Late Lord Archbishop of Canterbury: Containing Two Hundred Sermons and Discourses, On Several Occasions. To which are Annexed, Prayers Composed by him for his own Use. A Discourse to his Servants before the Sacrament. And a Form of Prayer Composed by him, for the Use of King William; Being All that were Printed after his Grace's Decease; now Collected into Two Volumes. Together with Tables to the Whole: One of the Texts Preached upon. Another of the Places of Scripture occasionally explain'd. A Third, An Alphabetical Table of Matter. Published from the Originals By Ralph Barker, D. D. Chaplain to his Grace. Volume the First (only). Printed in London in 1712 for William Rogers, Timothy Goodwin, Benjamin Tooke, and John Pemberton. In Fleet Street. John Nicholson in Little-Britain, and Jacob Tonson, in the Strand. MDCCXII (1712). It is bound in original full brown leather binding, with embossed decoration to both boards, gilt line decoration encrusting the raised bands, and there is a dark red leather title panel with gilt lettering to second panel/compartment. There is an engraved portrait frontispiece plate of Tillotson alongside title page (see pics). Containing over 750 pages, with large folio size dimensions to the book of 13" x 8" x 2" thick, and it weighs 2.5kg read more
