Volume 2 only of a 3 volume set and as pictured cover offFolio696 pages104 sermons [CIV] of Rev John Tillotson (1630-1694) who was Archbishop of Canterbury from 1691-1694. He was son of a Puritan and in 1656 was tutor to the son of Edmund Prideaux, attorney general to Oliver Cromwell.He was married to Elizabeth French niece of Oliver Cromwell.Many of his sermons were anti CatholicHell fire and brimstone old Puritan style preaching!
