Leather binding. Gilt ornaments on spine. Text in french. 412 pages, 17 x 10.5 x 3 cm. Fair/good condition there is some inner binding issues and ware to the cover and spine, refer to pics. It is still all together and not split. The pages are overall in good to very good condition with minimal spotting and water damage. refer to all pics.Note: Louis Bourdaloue ( 1632- 1704) was a French Jesuit and preacher. At the age of sixteen he entered the Society of Jesus , and was appointed successively professor of rhetoric, philosophy and moral theology , in various Jesuit colleges. His strength lay in his power of adapting himself to audiences of every kind. His influence was reportedly due as much to his character and his manners as to the force of his reasoning.
