Jolliffe, 1779. 12mo Dimensions 3 x 5".[6] 6 [25] 272pp. Contemporary full calf, raised bands, gilt. Heavy rubbing to all parts, loss to head and foot of spine, corners bumped, joints starting. Ink inscriptions to fep and ffep, occasional browning and sporadic foxing. Contains listings of military officers as well as those vessels deployed to America in service of the War of Independance. Also shows an entry for James Cook, as a Lieutenant in the Royal Navy - 1779 being the year in which he would die during his third voyage.
