1787 COPPER New York Excelsior Copper, Eagle Left -- Environmental Damage -- PCGS Genuine. VG Details. W-5785, R.6. As is the case with the extremely rare Brasher doubloons, Ephraim Brasher is associated with the rare Excelsior tokens. They feature the New York State Coat of Arms on the obverse. The reverse imitates the Federal Seal. This dark brown example is pitted but the major types are evident. Listed on page 64 of the 2014 Guide Book.
