This is an Original 18th century Commonwealth of Massachusetts "ARREST WARRANT", from York County, Massachusetts (Town of Biddeford), dated "1789". Singlesheet, one-sided (back/reverse side endorsed w/handwritten notations). Size: approx. 6 3/4" by 8 1/4". Partly-printed/partly-handwritten in brown ink on fine, laid paper. Nice Condition; neatly folded. ...Partly-printed/partly-handwritten Sheriff's Writ, dated "the Twenty third Day of February In the Year of our Lord 1789". In this Sheriff's Writ/Warrant, the Sheriff is commanded to Attach the Goods, Chattels, etc. of JOSEPH MORRELL for non-payment of debts.. A Really GREAT Early American document, today 222 years old!
