Description: Published by 01 - London - John Walker, 1794. The works of satirical writer, Peter Pindar. The first three volumes form the 1st edition of Pindar's satirical poems. These three volumes were then followed by the publication a further two volumes which complete Pindar's works. All volumes are the first editions of Pindar's complete works. Volumes I-III are dated1794, Volume IV is 1796, and volume V 1801. Peter Pindar was a pseudonym for John Wolcot. Wolcot began his writings of satire in 1780. His early satires regarded members of the Royal Academy before proceeding to writing on the King and Queen.
