1795 "Britiania' Token From Old Colonial Alexandria, Virginia Building From an 18th century building (300 block of Cameron St.), a nice 'Britiania" 1/2 pence token with original mint lustre . This was removed from the cellar of this building during the summer of 2007 by my grandson (Luke) and I, along with a large number of other older coins - many were worn or contemporary counterfeits - I theorize that these may have been coins a merchant or banking house was "stuck with" (couldn't pass on). I feel confident that these were used here during colonial times so I listed them here. Interesting coins from the time of Washington (he lived nearby), inexpensive "show & tell" from the beginning of our country or a school display (?). $2.95 fully insured shipping to the USA . $3.95 uninsured shipping to countries I ship to with proof of shipping.
