A very scarce early American imprint, this 1796 antiquarian leather volume is a first edition of: THE IMMORTAL MENTOR: Or, Man's Unerring Guide to a Healthy, Wealthy, and Happy Life In Three Parts By Lewis Cornaro, Dr. Franklin, and Dr. Scott Printed for the Rev. Mason L. Weems by Francis and Robert Bailey, Philadelphia 1796. 4 1/4" by 6 3/4" hardcover (full leather, gilt lettering & designs on spine). 321 pages. Previously in a church library (bookplate inside front cover). Reverend Mason Locke Weems compiled these writings by three highly respected writers - Luigi (Louis, Lewis) Cornaro, Benjamin Franklin, and Reverend Thomas Scott.
