British War Ships Sailing near a Harbour, 17th/18th Century follower of Willem II VAN DE VELDE (1633-1707) Fine 17th/18th Dutch School marine oil of British Warships near a harbour, oil on metal. Fine early Dutch School marine oil of a group of ships sailing off the coast near a harbour. Excellent detail of the shy, choppy waters and intricate detail of the ships and figures on board. Excellent condition, one small mark top left. Has been cleaned regularly on both sides and a slight patina to the metal verso. Excellent ornate frame.
