A superb 17th. or 18th. century Dutch engraved brass oil or fat lamp . The heavy guaged hand wrought brass is securely joined with copper rivets. The upright handle is finely engraved with a design and is topped with a beautiful copper hook for suspending from a hook in the wall. This handsome piece measures 9 inches tall and is composed of a removable fat or oil basin which attaches to a bracket in the back and hangs upon a drip pan. A great piece from Colonial America.
